About
Dr. Andrew Bustard received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2025 and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto in 2019. Dr. Bustard’s research has focused on extending the operational capabilities of supersonic-combustion ramjets, which would allow flight from Miami to Singapore in a few hours. He leverages surface measurement techniques that offer unparalleled temporal resolution, spatial resolution, and surface coverage compared to conventional measurements. Additional research interests include boundary-layer transition, hypersonic facility development, and flow control.
