About
Dr. Pembridge is a Professor in the Engineering Fundamentals Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and currently serves as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies in the College of Engineering. He earned his PhD in Engineering Education from Virginia Tech, focusing on mentoring in engineering capstone design courses. Dr. Pembridge's research spans various areas of engineering education, including the use of evidence-based instructional practices and the integration of technology in teaching. He has been a investigator on multiple NSF-funded projects, including an NSF Revolutionizing Engineering Departments project to utilize Scrum as a strategy for departmental change. His work also includes exploring the use of web-based video peer feedback to enhance teaching practices and improve faculty development. Dr. Pembridge has been recognized as a Textbook Affordability Champion in 2022 and was the recipient of the Tej Gupta Outstanding Teacher Award in 2018 at ERAU. His ongoing research aims to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration among educators to enhance student outcomes.
