About
Mr. Hanamean is a full-time faculty member, the Associate Department Chair of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and the Director of the Center Of Mentorship Programs and Student Success (COMPASS), the College of Arts Sciences Mentorship Program. He has been with Embry-Riddle Worldwide since 2005. He primarily teaches meteorology and physics. Mr. Hanamean’s research interests include vegetation greenness impacts on maximum and minimum temperatures in Northeast Colorado and virtual mentorship in distributed environments. He also is interested in ways to incorporate technology into the classroom to improve the learning and teaching experience, and student mentorship. Mr. Hanamean was a U.S. Air Force Weather Officer and retired from active duty in 2009 after 26 years of service.
