About

Kranthi Kumar Deveerasetty is a Research Assistant Professor at the Eagle Flight Research Center, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida, and has a rich international experience. He was a Specially Appointed Researcher in the Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Info-communications Engineering at Osaka University, Japan, from January 2023 to March 2024. He served as a Research Associate at Kochi University of Technology, Japan, from January 2020 to December 2022. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, from August 2017 to November 2019. He received a Bachelor of Engineering from Andhra University in 2008 and an M.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi in 2010. He received his Ph.D. in Control Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi 2016. His research interests include flight control design for Unmanned aerial vehicles, model order reduction, stability of interval systems, machine learning, and sliding mode control. Dr. Deveerasetty's contributions to the field are widely recognized. He has published 32 journal articles and conference papers, and his work was honored with the Best Application Paper award at the 11th International Conference on Modeling, Identification, and Control (ICMIC-2019). He is an academic editor for the PLOS ONE journal and an associate editor for Measurement and Control, SAGE. He is also a Technical Committee Member for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Vertical and Short Take-off and Landing Aircraft Systems (a.k.a. the AIAA V/STOL ASTC, or just the V/STOL TC).
