About

Dr. Compere is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida. His background is nonlinear dynamic systems and controls, hardware-in-the-loop control, hybrid-electric power systems, and solar powered water purification. He teaches Dynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Advanced Vehicle Dynamics, Instrumentation and Data Acquisition, and Hybrid-electric Vehicles. He co-founded a small business to transition technology from the lab to marketplace and continues to explore sustainable micro-business creation in developing countries. His current research includes self-driving vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and improving diesel emissions controls.
