About

Dr. Stephanie Douglas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Technology with the College of Business at Embry-Riddle Worldwide. Her research is in the areas of decision-making, organizational effectiveness, organizational and employee resilience, and employee engagement. Her recent research publications included studies on resilience in aviation, employee engagement, and leadership influence, and systemic leadership improvement to improve organizational effectiveness, decision-making in aviation, and organizational resilience through human capital management. She has written chapters on leadership in books including Cultivating a Data Culture Business and Society and, has a forthcoming book chapter on resilience in aviation. She has also taught, presented, and conducted workshops at several high-profile conferences including the World Aviation Training Summit, National Training Aircraft Symposium,International Leadership Association, Women and Leadership, Annual Distance Learning and Teaching Conference. Dr. Douglas has a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Resource Studies with an Emphasis in Leadership from Colorado State University a Master of Science in Organizational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and, a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to working in academics, Dr. Douglas has experience in marketing management, non-profit organizational management, and organizational development. She currently serves as an organizational change consultant serving Fortune 100 and 500 businesses in improving human capital management strategies.
