About

Dr. Tamilla Curtis is Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She currently teaches international management and aviation policy, international business, social responsibility and ethics, management, and marketing. Dr. Curtis received a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Nova Southeastern University, an MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas. Dr. Curtis' international work experience in transportation companies, including Balkan Bulgarian Airlines, Moscow Airways, and Det Norske Veritas, provided her with the solid foundation to conduct research involving aviation strategy, international business, and marketing. Her articles have been published in academic journals such as International Journal of Aviation Management, Journal of Product Brand Management, Journal of Consumer Satisfaction, Dissatisfaction and Complaining Behavior, Review of Business, World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research, International Business, Research Teaching and Practice, Journal of Business and Economics Research, and others. Dr. Curtis is a recipient of an outstanding College of Business Faculty award for 2013-2014. Dr. Curtis was awarded the ERAU Internal Research Award in 2014-2015 for the proposed study The Model of Network Carriers Strategic Decision Making with Low Cost Carrier Entry.
