William MacKunis

Professor of Engineering Physics

Personal profile

About

Dr. MacKunis received his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Florida in 2009, with a specialty in nonlinear, Lyapunov-based control of aerospace and mechatronic systems with uncertain actuator dynamics. His current research is in nonlinear control of systems with dynamic uncertainty with wide-ranging practical applications in aircraft tracking control, satellite attitude control, flow field estimation, power tracking for photovoltaic power systems, and others. Dr. MacKunis also researches optimal estimation methods for bandwidth-limited communication channels.
