The goal of this project is to produce a real-time forecast tool for the prediction of summertime thunderstorm precipitation in the SWUnited States. This is being accomplished through the application of causality informed machine learning, whereby the mostimportant dynamical high-resolution model and remotely sensed predictors are identified.
