Abstract

The animation presents simulation results of ocean surface vertical displacements (to the left) and OH(3,1) vertically integrated volume emission rate perturbations (to the right) related to the case study of the 2011 M9.1 Tohoku-Oki Earthquake and Tsunami and their impacts on the mesospheric airglow. The simulation is performed with earthquake source model by Ammon et al. (2011).
