This special issue features selected papers from the 18th Air Transport Research Society's (ATRS) World Conference held in Bordeaux, France, from July 17 to July 20, 2014. Seven papers have been selected by the three guest editors for inclusion in this special issue giving a glimpse into the breadth of topics of current interest in the aviation industry.
