Research output: ThesisMaster's Thesis

Abstract

{International coordination, Health crises, Global public health, Health governance, Crisis preparedness}

{This master's thesis in public health explores the crucial importance of international coordination in public health through the analysis of major global health crises. By examining cases such as the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the H1N1 influenza pandemic, and the COVID-19 pandemic, it evaluates both the successes and failures of this coordination. The lessons learned from these crises highlight the need to strengthen international governance in public health, establish effective communication protocols, enhance crisis preparedness, and leverage technology and social media. Emphasis is also placed on training and collaboration between countries and international organizations, with proposals to improve financial cooperation mechanisms and public-private partnerships. Finally, this thesis underscores the ongoing importance of international coordination for global public health and outlines future prospects for addressing global health challenges.}
