Abstract

Block independent component analysis (ICA) algorithms are used to perform simultaneously two important radio receiver functionalities, namely, image rejection and carrier frequency offset compensation. For diversity wireless receivers, the proposed technique results in a simplified analogue front-end, because the two tasks are implemented digitally at baseband. Simulations are performed using two block ICA algorithms. Results confirm the effectiveness of the presented method.
