Abstract
Establishing your vision for research is a key first step in a successful undergraduate research project. This workshop covers some of the basics of getting started in undergraduate research and addresses the most common barriers students face, such as knowing what opportunities are available, knowing where to start and who to talk to, securing resources and using institutional supports, and finding time for research. Various roles within a research team are also explored.
