Abstract
The term "Revolution in Intelligence Affairs" or "RIA" is increasingly being used--along with the less precise term of "intelligence transformation"--by intelligence practitioners, policy makers, scholars, and other intelligence experts to denote the notion that sweeping radical (or "transformational") changes must be made to the U.S. intelligence enterprise for it to remain effective in the current global security environment.
