Abstract

Simulation-based training (SBT) is an instructional technique designed to accelerate the development of expertise through feedback and practice opportunities that mimic real-world experiences.Although developing SBT can be costly and time intensive, it is particularly advantageous in health care training because it provides trainees with an immersive yet safe environment to practice skills and test new task strategies without risk of harm to the patient.
