Abstract

"Future UAV systems may require the use of adaptive automation to ensure maximum human-machine performance across varying operator-to-vehicle ratios. Management by Consent (MBC) and Management by Exception (MBE) are two proposed levels of automation for future UAV systems. This study aims to help determine the most appropriate operator-to-vehicle ratios and effect of automation strategies for future UAV systems."
