Abstract

Dr. Chaparro relates her experiences as a doctoral student at Texas Tech University. Her research at TTU centered on computer-based instruction and upon graduation she went to work for IBM. Through her early work at different companies, she discovered the need for more research in the area of human-computer interaction and interface design.
